Drain Choke ClearingKitchen floor trap chokes cleared by cable rodding: at one, a new PVC outlet pipe fitted at the bottom of the trap, and at the other a flow test to confirm the water ran freely.
Drain Choke ClearingA basin that would not drain: we cleared its outlet pipe by hand cable and fitted a new two-way tap, basin waste, PVC bottom trap and flexible hose on the same visit. At another sink, the bottle trap was taken apart, cleaned and refitted.

HDB's HIP booklet lists what the optional toilet upgrading package comprises: a new waterproofing membrane, wash basin, floor and wall tiles, louvred vent, toilet door, grab bar and pedestal pan, which is the toilet bowl. HDB adds that if you decide not to have some items installed, you still pay for the full package. So if your block is due and you plan to take the package, a new bowl comes with it. If the bowl cannot wait, we have replaced one in a Pasir Ris flat and taken the old one away.
