FAQ
The questions we hear most about this service. Still unsure? Just give us a call.
Instant heaters heat water on demand and suit single-point showers, while storage heaters hold hot water and suit higher or multi-point usage. We'll recommend the right type for your bathroom and household.
Either works. We can supply and install a suitable unit, or fit a heater you've already purchased. We'll quote both the supply (if needed) and the installation upfront.
We handle the plumbing installation. The electrical connection of a water heater must be done by a Licensed Electrical Worker, and we'll advise you clearly where that applies to your job.
Yes, and it is a common swap when a bathroom is being redone, but it is not a straight replacement. The two types sit in different places, need different pipework runs, and draw power differently, so the electrical supply has to suit the new unit. We look at what is already there and tell you what the change involves before you buy anything. The electrical side is arranged with a Licensed Electrical Worker.
Usually high on a wall or tucked into the ceiling recess above the bathroom, so access matters as much as space. It needs to stay reachable for servicing later, sit where the wall can carry the weight of a full tank, and have its pipework and relief discharge arranged so that any future leak is not first discovered by the ceiling below.
Often not on its own. A rain shower head moves a good deal more water than a handheld one, and an instant heater warms only what passes through it, so the more water you push the cooler it arrives. If you are set on a rain shower, a storage heater or a higher-rated instant unit usually gives a better result. Tell us what shower you are fitting and we will size the heater around it.
