FAQ
The questions we hear most about this service. Still unsure? Just give us a call.
It depends on the pipe's age and condition. A single cracked joint is usually worth repairing, but if a run keeps failing or is heavily corroded, replacing that section is often the better long-term value. We'll advise honestly.
Yes. We work around concealed pipe runs and tiling as cleanly as possible, opening up only what's needed and discussing reinstatement with you beforehand.
Yes. We repair and replace incoming water supply pipes as well as drainage and waste pipework for HDB, condo, landed and commercial properties.
If it clears after running for a while and affects only one tap, it is usually sediment stirred up in the line, often after works nearby. If it keeps returning, or the water is discoloured throughout the flat, the pipework itself is likely corroding from the inside, which is common in older galvanised runs. That points to replacing the affected section rather than flushing it out.
That knock is water hammer, the shock of moving water being stopped suddenly. It is common with quarter-turn taps and with appliance valves that shut fast. On its own it is a nuisance, but repeated hammering works joints loose over time and is worth sorting before it causes a leak. The usual causes are a loose pipe clip inside a duct or wall, or pressure that needs controlling.
Often yes, within what the existing pipework and the flat allow. Shifting a sink, basin or washing machine point means extending or rerouting both supply and waste, and waste is the fussier of the two because it needs a fall to drain properly. Tell us where you want the fixture before your contractor starts tiling, because moving a pipe with the wall still open costs far less.
