FAQ
Everything customers ask us most, grouped by topic. If your question is not here, call us and we will answer it straight.
For emergencies we aim to be on-site as fast as possible. For non-urgent jobs, book online and we'll confirm a convenient date and time with you.
Call us, WhatsApp us, or fill in the booking form on our contact page with your address and what is wrong. A photo of the problem helps us load the right parts before we set off. We confirm a date and time with you directly. For an emergency, calling is fastest, and we answer around the clock.
Often, yes. Emergencies are prioritised and we attend around the clock. For routine work we fit you in the same day where we can, and if the diary is already full we book the earliest slot that suits you rather than leave you guessing. Call or WhatsApp with your postal code and the problem, and we will tell you straight away what is realistic.
An adult needs to let us in and stay while we work, because we confirm the price on site and walk you through the finished job before we leave. It does not have to be you. A family member, your tenant, your helper or your agent can hold the key, as long as whoever is paying has agreed the price beforehand.
Clear the space we need to work in. Empty the cabinet under the sink, move things off the bathroom floor, and unlock the gate or arrange a lift card if your building asks for one. Photos sent ahead help us load the right parts. If something has been leaking, note when it started and whether it worsens with use, because that detail often saves us a step.
We provide a clear, upfront quote before any work begins, with no hidden charges. Final pricing depends on the job, but you'll always know the cost first.
Telling you a likely price over the phone or from a photo costs nothing, and we are happy to do it. Coming out to look properly is a job in itself, so an on-site survey starts from $30. If you go ahead with the repair on that visit, we quote the work as a whole, and you approve the figure before we start.
Yes. Alongside homes we work for restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, offices and retail units across Singapore. Commercial kitchens are hard on drains and fittings, so grease-laden traps, failing taps and water heater faults are regular work for us. We can attend outside your trading hours to keep the disruption down, and we invoice the business with your company details on the document.
Yes, and plenty of customers do. We quote you for labour and fittings only and install what you have bought. Before you order, send us a photo of the model and of the existing installation, because sizes, mountings and connections vary more than the product pictures suggest. A unit you supply is covered by its own seller's warranty rather than by us, though our installation is still guaranteed.
Yes. We provide round-the-clock emergency callout across Singapore for burst pipes, major leaks, flooding and serious chokes. Call us any time, day or night.
Anything where water is escaping and you cannot stop it, or where you cannot safely use the flat. A burst pipe, water running down a wall, a toilet overflowing, sewage backing up, or water near electrics all count. A dripping tap or a slow drain does not, though both are worth booking soon. If you are unsure, call and describe it, and we will tell you honestly.
Put a bucket and towels down, move furniture and electricals clear, and photograph the ceiling with the date visible, because the record matters later. Let the unit above know, politely and early, since most cases are settled between neighbours. Notify your town council or MCST as well. Responsibility depends on where the water is actually coming from, and that is established by inspection. We can inspect the plumbing side.
If water is running near sockets, light fittings, a distribution board or a water heater, switch off the affected circuits at the consumer box and keep everyone out of the wet area. Do not touch a switch or a socket while standing in water, and do not reach up into a wet ceiling void. If you cannot get to the box safely, leave it, get clear, and call us.
In most flats it sits in the kitchen, high up near the ceiling above the sink or inside the service duct. In some layouts it is above the toilet door or in the bathroom near the heater. Look for a small lever or a round handle on the incoming pipe, and turn it clockwise to close. Find yours now and photograph it, so you are not hunting at midnight.
Bathroom floor traps collect hair bound together with soap scum, and it builds into a mat sitting below the grating where you cannot see it. Lifting the grating and clearing the top rarely reaches that, so the choke reforms within weeks. A trap that blocks every month usually needs clearing properly along the discharge pipe, and sometimes the trap itself is worn and holds debris.
Test it yourself first. Turn every tap off, do not flush anything, then note the reading on your water meter and check it again an hour later. If it has moved, water is going somewhere. The usual culprits are a toilet trickling silently into the bowl, a cistern inlet that never quite shuts, or a concealed pipe. Send us the two meter photos and we will take it from there.
If every outlet is weak, the problem sits upstream of your fittings rather than in them. Check that the main stopcock is fully open, because it is often left half closed after other work. Ask a neighbour whether they are affected too, since that points to the building supply or to maintenance rather than to your unit. If it is only your flat, call us to trace it.
A drain smells when the plug of water that blocks sewer gas has been lost. In a bathroom that is rarely used, or a spare toilet, the trap simply dries out, and running the tap for a minute refills it and usually settles it. If the smell stays, the cause is more often rotting build-up in the trap, a loose connection, or a floor trap no longer holding water.
Finding it and reaching it are two different things. We trace first, using the meter, isolating sections and reading where the damp actually runs, so a leak is narrowed down to a small area before anything is touched. Repairing a pipe inside a wall does eventually mean opening that one spot. What we avoid is opening several. We show you where and why before a tile comes off.
Three things decide it. If water is coming from the tank body rather than from a fitting, that is not repairable and the unit needs replacing. If one part has failed on an otherwise sound heater, repair is the sensible choice. If it has been repaired before and is failing again, you are paying twice toward a unit you will replace anyway. Tell us the age and brand and we will say which it is.
No. We do the plumbing side of a water heater: mounting the unit, the pipework, the valves and commissioning it. The electrical connection is separate work that must be carried out by a Licensed Electrical Worker, which is a different trade and a different qualification from ours. Where your job needs one, we coordinate the visit so the two halves line up. The electrical work is quoted separately.
We serve homes and businesses islandwide across Singapore, from HDB estates to condos, landed homes, offices, F&B outlets and retail units.
Emergency plumbing, leak and pipe repair, drain choke clearing, toilet, sink and tap repair, and water heater installation and repair.
Yes. Our workmanship is guaranteed, and if something we repaired fails because of the way we did it, we come back and put it right. We do not quote a fixed number of months, because the honest answer depends on the job and the parts involved. Where we supply the hardware, the manufacturer's own warranty applies on top of that.
No. In Singapore that title means a PUB Licensed Plumber, and we do not hold that licence. Our plumbers are qualified and insured, our UEN, 53525126B, is on the site and on every invoice, and our workmanship is guaranteed. The electrical side of a water heater goes to a Licensed Electrical Worker. If your job needs a licensed plumber, say so when you book and we will tell you straight whether it is work we take on.
Tell us what is going on and we will tell you what it needs. Call now or book online, we are here 24/7.
